Default Softtail lowering options?

Ok I am going to be installing the Heartland EZ ROCKER conversion and need to lower the bike 2".

My question is, what is the difference in the lowering kits? I have seen some that are just bolts and some are bolts and bushings(Progressive).

I see that the Progressives are more $$$ but what is the real difference?

I used the ones from progressive that get added to your stock shocks and enable you to be able to lower up to 2"...didn't see the neccessity of spending all that money for their new shocks when their lowering kit was so much cheaper...and did the job of what i was looking for

I used the Midwest Customs Bolt Kit I got off Ebay for 20 bucks... Havent got a good test ride in but it says adjustable up to 2 inches and for 20 bucks and a couple hours of my time didnt really think it a bad investment...

I've ridden bikes with the lowering kits in the past and was never that impressed with the ride so when I lowered mine I went with the full replacement of the shocks and installed the progressive 422's.. I got em off Ebay for like $365 shipped.. I'm happy I went that route..

After you lower the bike make sure you adjust the pre-load to soften the ride.
