Talking Scored these on Ebay!!

Just won myself Chrome Lower Fork Leg Sliders off of Ebay for $195 (CAN). Need them like I need a hole in the head but it will look awesome once there on.
It was one of those wins where you placed a bid thinking you weren't going to win, and then you win!! Just shook my head!! haha Happy with the purchase though.

Anyways, how hard are these to install and what is required? Does it require the whole front end being removed?
I wouldn't do it myself, but I just want to know what I am in for when I take it to the dealer.

Thanks

Ryan

If you have a Manual and Jack, Read the Procedure might surprise yourself is not really that hard to do .. Requires Pulling the Front wheel and draining the Fork Fluid and replacing the Fork seals, be paying a lot of labor for the dealer to do it.. A whole lot more than you paid for the Lowers.. Would also have the satisfaction of doing it yourself..

Well if its going to cost more in labour to put them on, then forget it. I guess at $72 an hour, it would probably take them 4 hours to do it, plus all the shop supplies. Yeah, may seriously consider what you just said and get a manual and try it out myself.

Thanks

It is really not that hard. The manual, I think tells you to remove the fork legs but you dont have to. The only reason I can see them telling you to do that because there is a little cup thing that you might have to put a little grease in to keep it from falling off when you put the lowers on!!!

Pretty much what everyone said above. I put gaiters on the Sportster and kinda wish I had swapped out mine for black when I had them off. Not a real hard operation.
