Somebody help me out here - I know I once found a seller who carries the kidney-shaped frame-mount toolbox in black, but now I can't seem to find it. Anybody know what I'm talking about?

 

You mean like a blacked-out version of the one in my sig pic? They are all over eBay. I thought about it, but I would want to see one first after it has been installed and used awhile. These things have external piano-style hinges, and I don't see how the powdercoating could stand up to metal on metal contact where the hinges rotate. I have the chrome Harley ones and settled for getting the brackets powdercoated black.

 

I got tired of looking so I picked up a Custom Chrome box and powdercoated it. Turned out nice. Boxes for later models are easier to find.
