I'm a newb too but from the stuff I've read in these forums if you do any mods to a fuel injected bike then you need to remap. I think if you do both an exhaust and intake then you need something to adjust air/fuel mix. Don't quote me though, I'm still trying to learn!

I think the hookers look cool too. There was a thread a week or so ago talking about them and the V&H Big Radius. Search for it, it had some good info.

You need something to remap the computer, or it will run lean. Some people say that you can get away without if you`re just changing exhaust, but why risk it? A Fuelpak is less than $300, an engine rebuild is a lot more

I originally had the Troublemakers on my 07 Train. Unless your just putting on slip-on mufflers, you will need a programmer to keep it from running lean. This is the case for any newer fuel injected bike when switching to a high flow intake and a complete exhaust. The troublemakers made decent power, but due to their relatively shorter length, it did take the tuner a little longer to get it dialed in, but I was paying a flat rate for the dyno, not hourly, so that wasn't an issue for me. The pipes did sound great, but I wasn't overly impressed with the quality of the chrome. My bike was tuned correctly, and the top pipe yellowed after about 2500 miles. A friend of mine also had them on his fatboy, and the top pipe discolored on that too. Not saying that hookers are a bad pipe, cause they are not, I'm just telling you what I have observed.

I ordered the black ones so the discoloration is not much of an issue for me. I'm glad they sound good, I can't wait for that! I was actually not too disappointed in the stock sound. I've heard older bikes that sounded really quiet stock, but mine isn't too bad. It actually is on par with my buddies 03 that has Supertrapp slip ons. I got a deal for the SE kit on ebay and now just gotta work on the PC. I think they will be the right choice and I hope they look good on my bike.

My Troublemakers just arrived on the big brown truck for my 09 Fatboy. I put the S/E a/c on so far and will get the exhaust and PCV on this morning. I am now trying to find a deacent PCV map for my setup or at least one that will match up pretty close, since I really didnt want to have to go get the dealer to dyno it. Especially,... since its basically just a stock stage I setup.

I would do something about fuel control even with stock exaust on a new bike, they just run cooler with fuel control and thats a good thing
