Default Windshield Question?

Anybody use a Nostalgic Detachable King-Size Windshield for FLSTN SoftailŽ Models #57140 or 57141? If so how well does it work or not? Thanks, JC

I have one for my FatBoy. Only used it once for a a 3 hour ride to Delaware. I don't care for the looks of windhields so the detachable aspect is great. No complaints about it, however I may need to get it cut down about an inch as I was seeing thru it and not over it since I have a aftermarket seat that sits me lower. I think the Nostalgic one has a better look to it than the others HD offers.

I've got a 57140-05 that I'm looking to sell. PM me if you're interested.

I have the low smoked 57141 on the fatboy. Works great, I think the height is perfect for me and I'm 5'9"-5'10". Only problem I had was getting used to putting it on, the grommets that the brackets slip into were a little tight at first, so the first couple times, I lubed the grommets up with a little dish soap and problem solved. I was also getting a little breeze from under the windshield, just barely enough turbulence to shake my glasses around a little, so I put a fork bag on when I run the shield and it blocks (or diverts) the breeze from underneath.

Just got the clear, standard-height mounted. Haven't been on an extended ride with it yet, but I can already tell I'll need to get it chopped, maybe 4-5 inches (I'm 5'8").

I did run into an issue while installing, detailed here: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/softa...ifficulty.html

I have the smoked low profile on my FB; works perfect for my 6' frame.

Have one on my '05, it's a bit tall. I like the fact it comes off, takes about 5 seconds.
