Question "Barebacks" anygood ?

Surfing around for removable sadlebags for my 08 FXSTC, I came across what look's like an interresting product available from Cycle Visions.
The "BareBacks" quick disconnect kit claim's to fit & make any OEM HD saddlebags removable in less than 5 sec...
Before I order that 150$ hardware kit, anyone has a feedback on this product...?

On my list to get soon! Several guys here have them on their Heritages and love them. I am sure some of them will chime in soon.

I have them on my 08 FXSTC and like them. The only problem I have is one side is a little tough getting on and off due to the roundness of the sissy bar causing the stud not to sit parallel with the other, but that may change when I get the sissy bar warrantied for the chrome bubbling.

Danike, sissy bar roundness wont be a problem for me as I have solo seat & no detachable or fixed accessories. By the way, how do these "Barebacks" work ? Is it a push & slide type of connection, everything stays solidly in place on bumpier rides.?...

I got the barebacks for my bags on Cross Bones, work great, very easy to install, just remember to order the caps to dress them up if your not running the bags, if I remember right your bags will only stick out a little over a inch more then if you would of permenent mounted them. heres some pics of mine with the install. http://s255.photobucket.com/albums/h...0bare%20backs/

Lou, thak's for your feedback. That's exacly the saddlebags I want to fit on my 08 custom... 2 Questions :

Looking at your pics, relocation kit wasn't necessary ?

The plate that seem's to be bolted on bareback female part is part of the Bareback hardware or is it the HD saddlebag backplate ?

The Barebacks disconnect like an air hose coupler but the bottom is removed to allow the bags to be lifted off. I have the matching HD softail custom bags on mine with the Bareback mounts directly bolted to the sissy bar they stick out 3/4" more than stock mounted. They fit tight with no rattles. Depending on the bags they may not clear the rear lights, mine are close but have clearance.
