Yes I am 1" spacers on each side my fender is 5" wide... From a local hardware store $4.00 dollars each Chrome.

My fender came un drilled raw... That the only way you'll get the look you're looking for. It can be spooky when you drill it, thinking you may ruin it... But as long as you measure like five time... and then measure again you can do it. You can get a longboy fender on ebay for under $150 easy and if you're gonna run a 90/90 I would say a 4.75" would be good.
