Thinkin about getin some 2n1's just to try em. I found this technical write up on their web site. It sounds like the dealer stage 1 flash only voids the warranty. This may or may not be related to quality issues others have mentioned.
WARNING FOR FUEL INJECTED HARLEY DAVIDSONS
Due to the increased flow characteristics of Hooker exhaust systems for Harley
Davidsons, it will be necessary to have your injection system tuned by a qualified
Motorcycle mechanic. We have found that the Harley Davidson Downloads result
in an excessively lean mixture which may result in “blued” pipes. The
recommended tuning method is to tune the injection computer using a Dynojet
tuner and a chassis dynamometer aided by a four-gas analyzer or a wide-band O2
sensor. Use of Harley Davidson Downloads will void the warranty on our product.
Dynojet can be reached by calling 1-800-992-4993.

I have the Nightrider XiED 13.8:1 air fuel ratio voltage divider on my bike that works on the closed loop part of the computer programing vs. stock 14.6:1 AFR. I also run the stock air filter. At wide open throttle the computer switches to open loop which is set at 12:1, so I should be OK. I haven't been able to ride it with the new pipes cause of the snow. I'm going to check the plugs and temp, and maybe put it on a dyno to get more accurate AFR. My understanding is the H-D stage 1 flash only works on the open loop part of the program, so the bike would still run hot (14.6:1 AFR) at part throttle riding if stage 1 is all you did. Check out the article in the April 2009 American Iron on the H-D 110" CVO. They have a good description of how the '07 and later H-D fuel injection works. Hope that helps. -JT
