Just want to make sure before I pull the trigger... The gas gauge is off, but it shows less than what you actually have left in the tank? So when the gauge hits E you still have a little gas in there, right? I would rather have it off that way than the other...
Man, I get waaaaaay too impatient when I want something for my ride... I pulled the trigger and ordered a 2 1/2 kit from tankliftkit.com this afternoon. I'd still like some confirmation on which way the gas gauge is off from someone that has a tank lift installed, just so I know what to expect.
I don't have a tank lift but i do KNOW that you will show EMPTY BEFORE you actually are. Expect to have another 30 mile or so range AFTER it shows that you have none.
Thanks, that's kinda what I thought, but I really wanted to be sure... It would really suck to end up pushing her to a gas station because I wasn't paying attention.
i have a three inch lift on mine with no clearence problems even with the mirrors mounted under the bars. the fuel gauge is a little off. it shows im on empty before im actually there but i dont rely on the gauge anyway.

I"m the same way, i get all giddy and impatient when it comes to ordering things for the ride. did you get the kit with the chrome fuel line? I'm still waiting on mine, suppose to ship this week.
Yeah, I went with the premium kit. I ordered it this afternoon and already got an email from them saying it should ship by next week. I was on the fence for the last day or two and read all about your issues with them in your other thread. Once I saw them actually come in here and post themselves, it made me a little more comfortable ordering from them.
