Default Got some ?'s for carlini bar install.

I just put 7 inch carlini t-bars on my 08 night train. The bar install wasnt bad but how do i go about doing the internal wiring? Can i do it without pulling the tank off to unplug the connectors? Also which kit makes it the easiest?

Of course you'll have to pull the bars off again to do the internal wiring but as far as having to pull the tank "off", you don't really have to. You can get to the wiring harness by just lifting the tank a few inches in the front. Just make sure you are mindful of your fuel line.

Ok so what is the easiest way to do it? Is there a write up somewhere on how to do it and which extension kit works the best?

you will need to get larger mounting bolts to accomodate the 1.5" risers...as you know i just put the same set up on mine...all I needed to do was buy the two new bolts...put loctite on them

I didn't have to change any of the stock cables or wires...mine ended up being 10.5" rise with 7.5" pullback...so they should be pretty close...although with that extra pullback you may have to do your wires...HD sells the wiring extension kits...you may only need their 4" ones...put it together and see you may be able to get away with just the stocks.
