this is why I said check the socket to see what wires are what it will let you know if the problem is a ground or something else ...whoadood I know how you feel being a master automotive tech I have seen some dumb stuff ... I spent a week splicing wires under a dash back together after a rat chewd almost all the wires from the main fuse box and the schematic I had couldnt have been more useless...
