Default Ultima Shocks

I've searched for previous posts on the subject, and the replies have mostly been either they're junk or they're great. Is there anybody out there with a pair on their bike now? What do I need to know before installing them if that's the decision I make? I got them for a song on ebay last fall, so it won't kill me to not use them, but I love the look of a lowered softail and lay-off's will keep me from spending any money on my "baby" in the foreseeable future. Anyone?

I've never heard any bad things about Ultama. Just cause they arn't expensive doesn't mean they arn't good. I have a friend who bought a pair of Proggressive shocks for $100 off Ebay. Softails arn't all that soft to begin with, won't hurt to try them.

If you got 'em put 'em on. Then you will know for sure. If I were in your shoes I would, hey for a little work it may be great and if not put the old ones back in.
