so I took my bike in to get the throttle return cable fixed. they called me today and told me that it was ready but when I got there everyone was acting very strange. no one wanted to talk to me until the general manager came out. apparently they put a big nice chip in my tank. they also told me that the flames were only decals so they are going to replace the tank. this really sucks because there is no telling how long this will take and it's going to be 80 this weekend. I'm sick to my stomach!
man F*CK the bad luck bro. make them pay for the stickers too and have them put them on too. Do they even have the tank to give to you right now i would tell them call me when you get the tank in and ill bring you my bike.
well i have my rear fender off anyways because I chopped it and painted it and now I'm waiting for my joker machine side mount plate to come in and then hopefully it will all be back by then.
Could always be worse. Ask them for a rental to ride during the downtime...It's their fault!
+1 Why can't you ride your bike with a chip in the tank? Sounds like they may have done more than just chip the paint! Demand a rental bike while they're holding yours hostage. You can have a lot of fun on someone esles bike for a while!!
wow. what a day. I just got a call saying that joker wasn't going to make that side mount plate with the peg attached to it because someone else already had the patent on it. so I guess I have to look for another option now.
no they sure didn't, but I actually figured it out only by chance. I have a personal friend named Eric Warren, that builds some badass chopper (Eric Warren Designs check him out) and I called him to ask if he knows of any similar products. Low and behold, he has the patent. He is an awesome bike builder. I always let him set up for free in my parking lot of the DogHouse N. during bikeweek in MB. Hopefully, he will get one made soon enough for me. Seriously guys, he built a bike from the ground up during bike week in front of everybody so check out his website at ewdcycles.com
