Man, I just about jizzed in my pants . I could only dream of seeing 20 to 30K on mine. I will be lucky to see 10K before I start looking for a new rubber. Of course, I ride it like I just stole it from the dealership too . I just hope I can do a 2 to 1 ratio with the front and rear, being 1 front to every 2 rears.
bought new heritage in june 08 only 7400 miles on it.My question is how many miles should I get on my rear tires under normal conditions?
It depends on when you think your rear tire needs replacing. If you go by the tire wear bars, you should get around 8,000 to 9,000 miles on average. Some riders on here are lucky to get half that mileage, while others say they get over 10,000 miles on a rear tire.
I would say the guy that says he gets 25,000 on a HD rear tire must be counting the miles he trailers the bike.

There are some dam fine looking bikes on this page! Ya gotta love a well done softie.
But to the subject - I've got about 6K on my OEM Dunrop rear and it's about done. I've heard anything from about 5K to 12K on these. Like TMitchell says - I wouldn't count on getting more from these things. I have a Metzeler on the front and it sticks really well. I'm going Metzeler next on the rear.
