10-12,000 with normal driving and no abuse. You might have tread left but its gets dangerous in rain. A harder compound tire will get you more miles but it can be is slipery even on dry pavement.
I'm sorry I must have wondered onto the grandpa thread or the who can tell the biggest lie if you guys are really gettin ANYTHING over 10,000 miles on your rear tires.....I'm no hotrodder.....no burnouts or too radical cornering and I've never gotten more than ten grand on any tire....my sportster, my street bob, or my electraglide standard... I'm with the other poster....trailer miles to the rallies DON'T count!!!

Judging by the picture, as light as you are, that could have something to do with it.......
I think the last 2000 miles is how you judge your tire life, I have 6000 on mine now and some say it needs replaced, I don't see cord so it must still be good. I ride mine until there is no sign that it ever had a pattern in the center.
Here's my original rear tire at 7000 miles and the new one that replaced it.
I had the front replaced at the same time because it was borderline illegal and I didn't want to take any chances with the front.
I considered Metzlers because of the good things I've heard about them here, but they cost more and the general consensus seemed to be that while they stick better, they would wear even faster so I stayed with the Dunlops.
27000 on my front and still ok...7500 is the max i got...Been through 4 rears in 27000 miles and changing it again this week...Michelin Commander was the best i tried yet. Bought an Avon Venom X only because i got it for $50...Great cornering tires but wears out fast...This new tire i will try to ease up in take offs to see if i can maybe get 10k...Would save a few bucks...Riding a 07 FLHTC... Maybe i need a Rebel 250, i hear the tires last about 20K ON THOSE...
