Motorcycle tires will never wear like car tires. If you ride a bike get used to getting new tires. I prefer less mileage and a sticky tire.

Both my heritages, 99 and now an 07, will go 10,000 miles on the rear. Did four tires on the 99 at almost exactly 10,000 each time. The 07 went 10,000 on the stock tire but only 6,500 on the replacement. I changed to an IRC extended mileage tire for the rear and am very impressed with the ride and control. Only have a little over a 1,000 on it so at this time I have no idea what extended mileage will mean.

I have a little over 9600 miles on my 240, and I would'nt strike out on a road trip until I replace it. You can barely see the indicators.

I have about 5600 on my rear tire and it's toast, but then I like to use that throttle thingie on the right side of the handlebars.

welcome to HDF, I put new on at 10k checkup, we ride 2 up about 97% of the time, it had a little more but last spring I didnt want old tire on rainy roads to start the summer out.
17k on it now and I probably will wait till 20k or maybe a little longer cause it will be early-mid summer then....

9000-10000 on the rear, 18000-20000 on the front. At 10000 the back is pretty bald.

On all of the HDs Ive owned 1200R Sportster, RK Custom and my present Fatboy I only get about 5,000 - 6,000 on the rear and about 10,000 on the front using Dunlops. Ive been told by the INdy and the Dealer that changing to metzlers or Avons will be less due to a softer rubber compound.

The Dunlops seem fine to me a little bit of wanting to follow road irregularities but they grip well enough to allow me to easily lean it over to far and drag the floorboard or the pegs when I had the Sporty.

I'm on my 3rd tire for my Deluxe and have been getting 18-20K from each rear tire.
