Default Bumpstop

Kylant,

The Heartland kit for my Rocker C came with a bump-stop specifically for the EZ Rocker conversion. This does not lower the bike, but it gives more play within the suspension so it does not bottom out (hit the thicker stock bump-stop) as easily, which increases ride quality. This helps to compensate for the lowering. Because the bike itself must be lowered and for that I'm using the Progressive 422 shocks that are adjustable from 0" to 2" for lowering.

thanks man, but i know exactly what you said. i need the thinner bumpstop for the exact same reason heartland provides one. i have the bike lowered already and would like a little more travel, hence the reason for the smaller bumpstop.

Kylant,

OK, I've got it now.

Try contacting Heartland - maybe they could either sell you the bump-stop separately, or recommend which one to get. They are nice folks to deal with. You are right, since you have already lowered the bike, the thinner bump-stop should help improve ride quality.

Someone posted this elsewhere. Can't find the thread now but thanks to the original poster. I've done it but haven't been able to test it yet.

"Standard softail bumpstop mounted on a piece of 1/4 inch plate. You have to drill and tap the mounting holes in the plate."

the thinner bumpstop heartland uses is the one used on all other softails except the rocker. for some reason, the rocker uses a thicker stop. i called heartland and got this info. the things costs a whole $5 at the dealer. mines on its way
