Default risers loose?

Just went to tighten my loose bars and saw that they had been tightened down already, I noticed that the risers were actually wiggling back and forth....it appears that the chrome outside is loose from the bolt underneath? There's also a 1/4" space between the bottom of the riser and the tree. Anyone experience this or know how I would tighten these risers up? Thanks in advance

I have the EXACT same situation. Its a real small gap between the risers and the triple tree but when your hands are at the top of the apes if feels like its wobbling??? Not sure how to tighten it?

Replace the bushings with after market poly bushings. Look for them at Drag Specialties or J & P.

They also make a chrome cap(washer) you put on the top bushing before putting the riser(s) on this will take up the small gap ya get from replaceing stock riser's.I had to do this with my Softail...

Polyurethane riser bushings will fix this. You should have them if you have apes.

+1. I use heavy duty riser bushings (the red ones). They come with the chrome caps. Make sure they are torqued per the manual.

The dealer usually has the Harley ones. About $30 back when I got them.
