Default Screamin' Eagle Mufflers

Got a question, I've got a 2008 stock motor Deluxe, and I am going to put a set of Screamin' Eagle mufflers on it. Do I have to go with a Fuel Pak or PCIII or can I just put the mufflers on without doing anything else? Thanks in Advance.

Jim

your going to get different answers on this but, if you just do the slipons no you don't need the fuel management, but if you change the air breather then you will need one, due to more air intake.

if you just put on slipons you do NOT need fuel managment system. Only if you change air filter do you need a PCIII, etc.

My guess is that most people here that will answer this question will give you advice to not use the Scream'n Eagle slipons, but rather something else like Rush.

The new SE mufflers arent much diffrent than stock so you dont have to put on a SERT of PC. I put a set of Rush's with 1.75 baffles on with out having to change anything. The bike ran great and was not hotter than with the stock pipes. The HD stealer I mean dealer told me most bikes with just a muffler change and no change to the air intake would be fine.

I think everyone has given you an accurate answer to you question. If you decide to go with Rush or other exhaust that can accommodate varying sizes of baffles, keep in mind that you can't allow too much exhaust to leave the bike, without compensating with more air intake. Of course with more air intake and more exhaust, you need some type of fuel management. (Stage 1)

Rush 1.75's and 2", for example, should be fine.

My wife and I plan to put V&H slipons on her new Deluxe, we just haven't gotten it home yet.
