Default finally got the bad news

A couple of weeks ago, I was struck by an old guy in a pickup making an improperl u-turn. Got the estimate today. Over 1/2 the price of the bike. Bike was only a month old with 1500 miles on it. He has insurance, so guess now the real excitement begins. Damn, supposed to take 10 weeks to get a new one or this one totally redone. Oh well, at least I walked away with only stitches in the thumb and some sore muscles.

Take care and keep that head on a swivel. There are a lot of crazies out there!!!

Sorry you have to wait for your ride to get fixed. Glad your OK. If you depended on the bike for daily transportation, see if your insurance company can make his insurance company provide you with a loaner bike. They do that for automobiles is some cases. A guys gotta get back and forth etc.....

Glad your doing great...you can fix a bike a lot faster than a body can mend... wished we all could do as well when our turn comes...

Happy to see you got out of that in one piece. I like what you say about keeping the head on a swivel. I guess the only time we are really safe with motorcycles is when the machine is in the garage and the butt is on the couch. But hey, the risk is worth the reward, else we wouldn't be riding.
