+1 on the Hog Deluxe bags 08. I answered another thread but I did a lot of looking as I wanted to put bags on and make them detachable. I looked at Leather Works Boss bags and the like. Both the above mentioned great bags but when you put the easy brackets on..they stick out way TOO much and the bags look awful from the rear. Hog Deluxe makes there bags with a recess feature that accounts for the brackets and that is great. Fit and finish are first rate..very happy with them.
Pic shows the recessed feature of the bag.

Boss Bags..great bag but from the rear...FUGLY to the max...imo
Those Hog Deluxe bags sure fit nice and tight. Does anyone have a pic of the Iron Bags from the rear looking forward, such as the pics url8 has posted of the Hog Deluxe bags? url8, do you have a photo of you ride from a side view with the Hog Deluxe bags installed that you could post for us? BTW, that paint job looks killer.
url8, is there enough room to lock and unlock the ez brackets without possibly harming that awesome paint job you have? It looks a little tight from the pics but perhaps that is not the case...

Kuma attached is a pic of the key portal to get the bag off. Since its recessed, you need to open the lid to expose the key portal.
Hope this helps guys
I like the HOG DELUXE bag recess & the way the bag plastic inner is moulded to clear the left side swingarm fork. I put Auburn leather bags on my wife's Deluxe (no recess, EZ Brackets, less $$). I've always though the Auburn bags stick out too far and look like crap. Problem: While the Auburn clears the left swingarm fork tube sitting in the garage, the EZ Brackets (by nature) sag & the bag plastic inner wall occasionally scrapes the left fork tube. Some paint has been lost. The HOG DELUXE bag look great from behind, doesn't appear they would scrape but the key access looks tricky to use.
A note about EZ Brackets, besides sagging badly, they use cheap locks that fall apart, however they are quick to replace them.
Ya, we (wife & me) realy like them, they're a good size, not as big as todays E-Glide bags but they fit the style nice. We opted for the "Birch White" instead of "Bright White", the locks are kinda whimpy though (same as 50 yrs ago) but does have a safety strap so the lid won't fly away on the highway. They are pretty durable it seems, ABS I think and they do a nice job on making them.
