Default Thundermax and 2009 Fatboy

Before I order the new Zippers Thundermax with auto tune I want to make sure it will mount up to the factory ecm bracket and fit under there with no problems.I have a 2009 fatboy and zippers said it SHOULD fit but they never did a 2009 yet.Thats why i want to see if any of you guys had any issues with yours. My Thundermax will be here tomorrow and I was going to put the new pipes and aircleaner on it today so all I have to do is mount the thundermax. Thanks

I just put one on my 08 Fat Boy and it fit like a glove. You will have to remove the battery to move the fuse and relay box aside in order to get the O2 sensors through, but it all goes back together perfectly. I am running Rush slip ons with 2 inch baffle's and a stage 1 A/C with the 401 base map set up for my mods. You will love it!

Quick tip, you may want to wait to install the exhaust until you have the new wideband O2 sensors that come with the Zipper kit. I prefer to put the O2 sensors on the pipes before installing the pipes

txoval, I thought the same thing after I took the stock exhaust off. I decided to wait after looking at the lack of space in there. I put the SE ac on, took the stock pipes off and removed the seat and battery so all I have to do is install the Thundermax and the new exhaust.I cant wait to ride it when shes done.

I had one put on by an Indy on an 08. As far as I could see everything looked stock. The only problem I saw was he hooked it up directly to the battery so the boot on the + cable didn't fit like it was stock.
I really haven't checked out the 09's 'cause I really don't want to up grade yet. Plus I really haven't had the time.

I put the front 02 on while on the bike but had to remove the rear exhaust to get the sensor in. Had to use open end wrench because 02 socket would not fit the wider cable. Also after spending hours under the bike to run the front 02 cable and still came up short I decided to run the cable over the engine and it worked great. I did need to buy some sleeves for the mounting screws as the nuts would not fit beside the ecm case on the top ones. Love my Thundermax and hooker pipes
