You might also check to make sure your rear drive belt is at the correct tension. Too tight could give you poor fuel mileage. For what it's worth, on my Deluxe, I am not getting nearly as good of mileage as most are posting. At a little over 200 miles of mixed city/hwy riding, my fuel light comes on. That's riding with nothing in the bags and the full size shield. I will be following this post to see how I can get an additional 40 miles out of my ride.

tire presure and wind seem to make the difference for me
was 50 to 52 stock on winter gas
48 to 50 on summer gas
43 to 46 after stage 1, pciii and dynotune winter gas
40 to 41 after hooker pipes and thundermax on winter gas

Lightbulb Tire Pressure?

I generally run mid 30's for both front and rear tire pressure. What do you or most run for maximum fuel mileage? Not trying to hi-jack the post but this may help the original poster as well as others....

As far as tire pressure goes I run in the mid 30's as well.

I get mid 30's with mine and I'm always putting in a gallon more than my injected bro's, but it runs good and that's all I care about...
