Looking for an affordable way to lower the 07 NT....is 2" too much? My wife is 160lbs...I'd be interested to know how much you guys have lowered yours...pics would also be great.
i used wild 1 bolts............4o bucks and 30 to install em at a local indy..........oh and id go with 1 1/2 inch drop with the two of ya but you will like it better then stock
i keep mine in the middle..........you can adjust the spring in the seat spongey or stiffer.............i just lowered mine this winter from 1 1/2 to 2 inch drop and its a major diff if i put the wife on the back im gonna have to stiff it up a bit when i had 1 1/2 i didnt have too.........1 1/2 drop will look good with a stock fender but i have the heartland kit now and it looks better lower
no not if its in the middle.............you can buy a wrench to adjust your stock shock from hd (not much $)........its a 1 min job to adjust the stiffness with the wrench, dont even need to lift the bike.........i think i might have a pic of it lowered with the stock fender.........this it 1 1/2 and it saggs a little with you on it
with me and the wife on it it went down to the tip of the sidewall..........gotta do it it handles better too
yes..........i used a motorcycle jack and a floor jack under the rear tire.........u can use two floor jack too one under the front of the frame with wood that goes across the frame and one under the tire...........thats just to install the shocks .......need nothing to adjust the preload (spring dampning)
