Hi Guys, I'm hoping someone can help. I want to switch out my standard Cross Bones rear fender for a 'normal' type fender (I just don't like duck-tail fenders). Does anyone know whether a current model standard fatboy fender will bolt straight on?
I am guessing that now the fatboy has the wider rear end that the fender fixing points and the frame details might be identical to the Cross Bones? but I don't know for sure. They look the same.
A bare metal pattern fender from the aftermarket costs around 230 bucks over here but the fatboy is less than 300!! I know, I know about the prices in the U.K. - tell me about it ! but for 70 bucks to have an original one to bolt straight on is a no-brainer.
Does anyone know if it is a simple paint and bolt on change-out?
