I had a set of Rush with 2.25 baffles and loved them, then when i moved up to a full system, i think my rush were a bit louder than my Sampson's (baloney's)
I just put on the Rush 2". Love the sound. Sounds like a Harley should sound.
I certainly wouldn't go any higher then 2" (IMO). They are plenty loud enough.
first I mounted the V&H big Shots Staggered: they are loud, yes, but a nice sound? No, not at all.
Sorry to all of you V&H fans, but there's no soul in the V&H sound as for my experience with them. As i said, it's only noise. In all honesty, i do not understand why they are so popular.
Then I went for the Rush 2" slip-ons and they do have that nice deep rumble, they produce a troaty sound that makes a TC96 even sound (for as far as this is possible...) like a Harley should.
If you're looking for a deep, troaty rumble, then I'm sure the Rush 2" will let your TC88 sound that way. I'm not sure what the sound of the 1.75 or smaller is like.
I've researched this via the search engine for Months. All indications are with the 2.0 baffle some type of retune should be necesarry. 1.75 lets you get away without doing anything else.
Let us know what you think of the sound once your up and running.
