Default Slip ons for an 07 fatboy

Ordered some yesterday. Was told I would need to take the bike in and have it "flashed". Assume this is a fine tuning in fuel/air mix? Is the dealer the only one that can do this? Is it a quick thing? Do you think an appt. is necessary or can I just drive up and have it done?

Thanks for the responses. That's what I thought but the tech guy at D&D told me I needed to do it?
Can't wait for the new sound!!

Conventional wisdom says you don't need it as long as the slipons aren't more than 1.75 in diameter.

My Rush rep said 2'' most I could go without doing anything else. I also know 1 dealer down south was putting 2" on without any flash, some although was getting decell popping...so the 1 3/4 would be safer in my opinion...

save up for a Thundermax and you don't ever have to rely on a dyno tune or getting it close to being right. it took me 6 months before I got a PCIII and a dyno tune, then another year before I got a Thundermax. I have 3 sets of hooker baffles and have tried each to get the TQ and the HP and the sound I liked and because I have auto tune the bike retune for these changes. If you are like most you will someday change the pipes and if you don't want to pay for a dyno tune again then find you a good used Thundermax for 400 to 600.
