I have the touring luggage from HD (PN 94735-05 $159). More than enough room for a week long trip. It also includes a day bag which I use on short weekend trips.

However, I see they now carry a new model which cost a little more and looks slightly bigger than the one I have.

On my Dyna I set up with Harley Detachable bags, detachable sissy bar and pillion, and a motherwell rack I can swap for the pillion when riding solo Add a SAC Multi Fit touring bag ( sissy bar bag) and I am set It all swaps on and off in a couple mins.. I just did the same setup with my fatboy. It lets me set up loaded for long trips and light for short ones, or stripped for day rides. I like the ability to cover it all ( oh yea and quick release windshields as well)

Thumbs up

Hi, I ride from South Florida to Sturgis every year ( this will be the 14th year now), we rent the same house each year, so I just put on my Kuryakian Bar Bag witch measures 10"x20", I can put 1 pair of jeans,t shirt, undies, dig camera, cigs, ect. in it. I ship the rest FED EX to the house we rent a couple days before I leave and it is sitting at the house waiting for me when I arrive. then I ship it back on the day I leave and it is at my place when I get home. It has worked out well for me all this time and I don't have any extra weight hanging off the bike!! It cost me less than $20.00 to ship each way witch to me is well worth it to not have to worry about loading and unloading a bunch. IMHO TRAINS just don't look right with bags and shields.

Here is my set up that I used from Calgary to Tombstone last year. I just got some throwover saddlebags from HD and a round bag for all my cloths and thats it. It also helps that all the guys I ride with have road kings with ample space for some of my stuff. lol

I use the t-bag system. Hold alot of the wifes stuff. My stuff fits in my saddlebags(thats what they are for)!
Easily fit 3-4 days worth of stuff in the t-bag. Plus I have a roll bag to put all the stuff she buys when we are on the road.

They're Boss Bags, the small ones, I think 36. Man you can put more crap in those bags than you would ever think possible. I have to say that's the one purchase I definitely think I made the right choice on.

I'm going to Sturgis from N. Cal. this year and have saddlebags from Leatherpros and a bag from Saddlemen called the fastback that attaches to the sissybar and straps that attach to the turn signals. It comes in three sizes and I chose the middle one. Oh yeah, I have an 08 fxstc.

Hm. Those bags are expensive but it looks like you get what you pay for. Nice.
BTW, you made a bunch of good choices. My 07 FXSTC is deep cobalt blue, and looks almost too much like yours. Good thing you don't live around here
