I know this may be a stupid question, and most likely due to the dynamics of the bike, maybe not possible, but has anyone any thoughts on mid controls on an 09 Night Train? Just curious to see any pics if ever done, or impressions as to wether or not it can even be done...
Are you looking for true mid controls, or just a place to park your feet once in while?
True mids might be a bit difficult due to the layout of the shift rod and rear brake master cylinder.
But if your just looking for someplace to park your feet Mr. Lucky's idea of going with X-Bones floorboards would be a good one.
They are a bit smaller than Fatboy or FL boards and already come in the right color for a an NT, black.
Looking for true mids. May be able to get a good deal on al older NT, but the fwd controls are just not my thing. Want to be able to break and shift from the pegs and not have floorboards..
Well, you should probably get a dyna or a sportster then... I had the same concerns about how my butt would feel on the Night Train but looks won out over intelligence and I'm paying for it now.
Exile cycles just released a kit for softails to use dyna mid controls. You need to source a dyna inner and outer primary as well the mid controls. You can find them in their new catalog.
