I have the Heavy Breather, Big Radius, and the XIED's on a 2007 Softail Standard. I put the xied's on last summer. I didn't notice a seat of the pants power increase but I think it had a little better throttle response. I think it might have cooled it down a little. It did run smooth and I think for the price you can't beat it.
Last month I had the stage 1 download done. I had this done mainly for the increase in the rev limiter. I was constantly hitting the limiter when I got on it. I know these motors don't make much power above 4800 but it seemed to have more left when I hit the 4800 limit.
Now, I've ridden it twice since the download and believe it runs a little rough at low rpm's. It seems to surge and jump when lugging it around 40mph. It didn't do this with the xied's only. If I had it to do over I wouldn't have done the download.
We have 2 Dynas with the correct Xied for the bikes, an 06 Bob and an 07 FXD the units are a little different but work the same, my wifes bike has had pipes and air cleaner, some slight popping until the system settled down, added a SE 1 Air filter, some popping , then the system adapted, now has an open element filter and some popping, I expect the system to adapt and there will be no popping. I constantly check the plugs and hav seen NOTHING that indicates a problem, one proviso we are in the
Northwest and have not ridden in very hi temps yet,
