Try www.brownsplating.com, I've sent them my triple trees & exhaust bracket and they came out perfect! Turnaround was about 3 weeks and cost $200. They specialize in motorcycle parts and are offering internet specials w/ 10% off & a free t-shirt.

thats sounds like a cool place.
7 step process. I bet it is nickle plated first

check out www.surfcitychrome.com they got great prices they will do a set of rims for $550 a set im sending my parts to them for black chrome

The most expensive and durable process involves plating the steel first with copper, and then nickel, before the chromium plating is applied.

I have an 06 heritage classic and I bought a rear wheel off a fatboy and sent it to www.chromeprosplating.com and had it chromed cost me $285 and that included shipping it back to me they did a great job didnt like spokes and wanted to go tubless.
now the back end is all done I enclosed a picture
