Bareback Saddlebags Mount Question

Question Bareback Saddlebags Mount Question
Ok, I've got a quick question for anybody that has the Barebacks quick mounts for their saddlebags. I just put the Bareback saddlebag mounts on my '09 Heritage. I also bought the chrome caps that go on the Barebacks hardware on the bike when the bags are off. There were no instructions with the chrome caps so I assumed they just push on and pull off. However, they were VERY difficult to get pushed all the way on. Then, when I started to pull them off, I found that they are just darn near impossible to pull off without using pliers or something, which I don't want to do because that will obviously scar up the chrome. Am I putting them on and trying to pull them off right, or is there something I'm failing to do?

just put them on 08 heritage push on pull off they are snug but not tight going on good firm pull releases them easy.

Thanks 928kc...I got 'em off by twisting, along with a little pulling at the same time...One thing is certain; I can't imagine ever loosing one...lol

you are welcome. i had mine powder coated black as i ride a crossbones and they they blend in with the struts when traveling without my bags..
