Im about to put a set of big radius pipes on my 2006 FXST ( stage 1 ). what else have you guys done when you've fitted them? Fuelpak etc. Ive heard they run a bit lean and wouldnt want to cause any damage.
The pipes alone shouldn't have any dramatic effects on the fuel air mixture. But if you do the intake at the same time your going to have to do something.
I went with a ThunderMax w/Autotune because I have future plans for more extensive internal engine work.
I figured that getting a good setup that will accommodate future upgrades today means I will not have to 'do it over' later.
Thanks, think Im going to stick with what Ive got for now and then get other bits as and when, but may opt for a big sucker next time Im in the States.Im not going to do any internal engine mods. I think final outcome will be Pipes, Big Sucker and Fuelpak
Just realize you will probly see some power loss with the loss of back pressure and pay attention to how hot the pipes get as the bike will run even leaner. I know slip ons are good to go without a fuel managment set up, but entire new free flowing exhaust can be another story. Thats just my thoughts on the matter.

I did the V&H Big Radius, Big Sucker and fuel pack upgrade. Got good nubers out of it. 76.76HP 90.40TQ on a dyno. The guy that tuned it is telling me that the pipes are costing me even more HP. So I am putting some other pipes on to see if it makes a big differance.
Thanks Ive ordered the pipes now and decided to get a fuelpak asap. Just looking for a place in the states to ship to the Uk. They are a stupid price over here
I bought the big radius and the fuel pak, When i come back from off shore gonna do the stage 2 kit,cam and dino. and the main dude at the stealer has the same set up he's telling me it's a rape ape on steroids. I just smile and can't wait.

That's what I've got - the combo works well.
Try Dennis Kirk, pricing is pretty good and shipping to the UK is "bearable!"
