All depends on yer perspective...cost of livin can easily be half of what ya see up that way. Whadda ya do for a livin? I make a pretty damned good livin as a software developer down here in East TN.
And yeah...I hate winter too...glad it's over...'least it is down here in the South anyways.
I agree..It all depends on what you do for a living,me personally,I'm an ASE Certified Master Auto Tech,GM Certified with Hybrid Cert...I've been digging and find in my field the pay really doesn't vary that drastically...But also depends on the state..I work in a dealer of course and would not unless had no choice go back to an Indy shop,,,not to say I wouldn't if no other choice and the way GM is sitting right now,,I'm thinking of jumping ship to (AND I HATE!!!TO!!SAY!!THIS)a foreign car line..GOD THAT HURT... we are already seeing a repeat of last summer with no work coming in and when you get paid for what you do, it's not good,,doesn't matter how much you make per hour,,and the gas prices here are only at $2.05 average for 87 octane,,not like last summer at $4.50 per gallon....My whole faqmily is in Florida and they keep asking when I'm moving too...So I started digging and found out I could still make a decent wage and live ok...I don't know...
