i just got my Danny Gray seat for my rocker and I cannot get the thing to mount. it is so tight that i can't get the brackets to line up with the bolt holes. i have tried everything. i loosened up the brackets and it still won't work. any tips, advice, suggestions?
also, did you guys keep the plastic battery cover in place? or did you have to remove it? I have tried both ways without success.
Sorry I can't help...got mine back from them and it fit good...although mine was the heartland seat and it just slips on in front and lays on the fender...try calling danny gray
I had the same problem, but I bought mine from Denniskirk website. I just return it last friday, mostly becuase I didn't like the way it felt when I sat on it. It looks good though.
Basically you can leave or remove the trays...I took mine off because the seat was putting a little pressure on it.
As for fitting it...you might need to bend the metal tab at the end up or down...Mine was really loose when I got it so I had to bend the tab up to fit under the gas tank better...for you, you might need to bend it down a tad...

When my son and I put mine on we could not get it to line up at first. One of us had to push the seat forward from behind and the other put in the bolts. It has been easy to take on and off ever since.
I left the battery cover in place, protects the seat bottom and battery.
i called danny gray, they said they have never heard of this problem before, i was at work all day yesterday so did not have a chance to work with it. i will try a little today before work, but if i can't get it i have tomorrow so i will figure something out.
