my Fatboy is Black Pearl - and while it's not black, it never was meant to be. it's full of metal flake, ranging from a subtle purple to a vibrant green to a dark red, depending on the sunlight and the angle of the light. granted, in the garage or under dark clouds, it is a grey - but let the light hit it and OH BOY!
and since it is a "color" and a little higher priced than black - it's worth it..... (sorry - just couldn't resist the jab)
Well to each their own.....but IMO i could care less about the color pricing. if all colors cost the exact same i would still have my BLACK.... black pearl doesn't look like a black to me. it looks like a black with a bunch glitter in it.....greyish in fact.....in fact when i purchased my ride back in sept. they had my ride "black" and a "white/black pearl" deluxes next to each other and guess which one i went with. Not because of price either, ($600.00+change) difference. Everybody has thier own preference...good luck

Pretty much the same here. The Pearl Black is nice, but when I saw it I thought "metallic grey". I'm partial to black bikes, though, so I'm happy with mine.
I do love the teal/white combo, though, due to it's old school flavor.
Here's mine. Black pearl. I too, thought it looked more grey/green in the dealership. Once outside in the sun it "sparkles" and changes hue somewhat.
I ain't complainin.
The black pearl does have a grey tinge to it but it is very nice, especially against the white. I own the white pearl/black pearl deluxe and when it is shined up it gleams. The pictures do not do it justice, as with all the pics on the web of most of the Harley colors. I ordered the two tone b/w color cause it reminded me of the old army bike theme and didn't realize there is a blue pin strip untill after the bike was hatched at the dealership. You can't go wrong with any of the colors in my opinion, good luck.
I test rode a Black Pearl Fat Bob last year and I called it smoke until I looked it up online and seen it was called black pearl. I thought it was cool color!
