For me the new riding position greatly increased my comfort and for some reasons on the backroads I've never been uncomfortable....not once... even 200 - 300 mile days. Highways however make me wish the tank would run dry after the first hundred miles so I could stop and take a break. Maybe its just cause I'm bored out of my mind and notice every little discomfort while on a flat non scenic road dodging 18 wheelers and 90 mph Bmw's.
Yeah I get that feeling like I gotta hang on for dear life as well........

When I awoke this morning I realized how uncomfortable that seat really is. I have a new pain in my lower back.

I'll adapt!! Plus I have two other seats. The sundowner couch, the badlander and now this plank.

I'm sticking with the plank for local quickie rides as it does add a new feeling to my bike.

Those feelings include: Arms stretched straight out, The sensation of hanging on for dear life under hard acceleration (Stage 3 build) Being literally on the ground as I ride.....

Plus the solo will go well with the mods I have in the works. I like the look enough to take the pain!!

I love the looks of that seat and your bike!! I was thinking of getting a similar seat for my cross bones, but worried that the arm stretch would then be too much. Looks bad *** though.

And sitting nearer the ground on a bike looks cool!!

I have the street slammers on my bike so they come back a bit more than stock.

I couldnt imagine riding a train with the stock drag bars with that seat. I'm 6" tall and my arms are stretched literally as as far as they will strech when I ride. It was unnerving at first as I felt like a guy in an action movie dangling from a cliff!! A cliff that sheeyats and geeyats from 0 to 80MPH in just a few clicks of thy mighty shifter

Stock drag bars and that seat?? I couldnt do it.

Apes? I dunno.

Mini Apes? Certainly with a bit of rotating.

Beach bars? Hell no.

Nice job, do love the look
Yeah its working out OK...My Leather guy is busy working on my new solo saddlebag so I had to get a temporary fender bib to cover all those crazy holes......

I think its gonna look just right.

Bike looks Badazz!!!! Sorry to hear that it's that uncomfortable. I had been watching ebay for just the right deal on one. Guess I'll start looking for something else now.

Chop On,
Robert

****, I am 5'10" -- a seat that low would put the mini apes on my cross bones out of reach!!

That is one bad *** Night Train though!

I need a swing arm bag like that too!!

Wait til' you see the custom ones one of our members here (Money Pit) makes by hand!! They are just a few more bucks than the E-Bay trash and he can do anything you want and even lines em' with bandana material. Mine should be done next week. That thing on my bike now is hot garbage. La Rosa El-Cheapo E-Bay crap.

Thanks Bro, Its getting there. My new wheels should make a dramatic change along with my chrome lower sliders.

I waited for the right deal on E-Bay as well and got caught up in the last minute bidding frenzy. Derned thing cost me $160.00!! and its used....New Gel seats are like $230.00 so I saved $70.00

I aint gonna lie to kick it. That thing is really pretty bad. Its probably worse than I can even describe as its almost scary trying to hang on for dear life without any support behind you!! I had armour-alled the sheet outta the seat after I put it on...that could be an issue as well?? Slippery is an understatement.

Then again maybe I need to lay off the WFO riding....It is a cruiser after all. Probably work out better for cruisin a bit more mellow like.

3 grand+ spent on the stage 3 motor? Eff that I'm on the gas, All the time! Gotta get my money worth outta the old bish.
