Im down near Belmar. We ride the beach line all the way up into the Highlands all the time. Its a beautiful ride. Might make a trip up to Max's for dinner today actually!
BTW, I sent a PM but my PC is acting up and am not sure if it made it. Over time, there have been a few riders here on HDF who've had toolbags mounted between the headlight and fender, and which dented the fenders when the front bottomed out in a pothole or speedbump. I speak from experience and for what its worth, I'd hate to see it happen to your new bike.
