Default Thanks for the feedbacks guys......

JB, I'l look for those ultra high temperature strips, looks like a good option.

DynaBob, Cops in Montreal dont care about DB's..... if it aint the stock exhausts & they find it too loud, they give you a ticket on the basis that original pipes have been modified !!!!!

i have seen where you remove the baffle and add a washer to it. that adds TQ and drops the DB. It was on one one the forums.

IMO Vance&Hines quiet baffles are very poor quality. I had their Double Barrels with quiet baffles on for about a year and a half. After about a year they became really loud and started popping a lot on decel and backfiring occasionally. I tried putting dirt bike packing around the baffles but it did no good. I took them off and put my stock pipes back on. I honestly can't tell any difference in power but now my bike doesn't wake up the neighbor's kids when I leave for work at 5:30 in the morning. Plus with the bike quieter now I can rev it a lot higher between shifts and ride more aggressively without sounding like a douchebag.

Default :-( vh bss

I had pissed neighbors with my V&H BSS. It cost my ears on long rides tool, they'd ring for an hour or so after a ride. So, I got D&D Fatcats; they cost some quid but they are not as loud and boost trq too.
Just a thought.

+ 1 on that, there are bigger fish to fry out there.

Though I understand LowBoys problem, coming from Europe, I am ever so happy that in some respect law enforcement works differently here, in Europe, as seems the case in Canada, the law says something along the lines of "only exhausts that is ok is stock or equivalent" and that includes the noise they make. Cops there are pretty good at recognizing aftermarket over stock...noise usually gives it away. See over on the other side of the pond, if your car exhaust gets a rust hole and starts making a racket, the cops pull you over and give you a ticket. You broke the law (allowed noise level blablabla) they don't care whether is just happened 2 miles ago, 2 days ago, or whether you did it on purpose, and the judge with agree, you brake the law you pay...ignorance or not having time or money to fix it doesn;t matter, you still broke the law.

so happy here with the pipe sounds hehe

DyNaBob,. I read your post 3 times and its hard to follow and understand what your trying to say.
I don't agree MC"s with loud pipes being stopped, but I have heard Bikes with unbaffled pipes open them up having no care where they are.
This can start problems for bikers. People sometimes start disliking all bikers with average pipes & it can start with a few careless ones.
DaNaBob said the police was cracking down on loud pipes.
Also he said he was given a warning!!.

Some Towns are looking at the noise motorcycles make, So I keep it down when in town.
Plus I'll say the law is not cracking the whip at all on noise here.....

Have you tried the packing from V&H, as U didn't say how many miles U have put on them but I redone my Rush after 14k and they needed it, and it helped.
I have read that V&H's Q-baffles need redone every year....

Alain, you should have been here when I got a loud pipe ticket a few years back. I put my stock pipes back on, paid $10 to have it inspected. Done deal. I always keep my stock pipes just in case.
