Default Quick handlebar question

If I am switching out handlebars on a 05 night train do I need to get 1" or 1 1/4" bars or does it matter. Thanks I know its probably a stupid question but I have seen both sizes and don't know about grip diameter or parts fitting?

It doesn't matter. If you get 1 1/4", they are necked down at the grip area to accomodate the stock grips and controls.

Most 1.25" bars are 1" at the clamps and grips to use stock risers, clamps and grips. If your changing out the bars I would lean towards going with 1.25" bars , they just look like they belong on a HD IMO.

Check out the Wild 1 site thay have a great photo gallery with their bars on all models of HDs
