If he brought it to a H-D dealer in Jax, it would have to be Adamec. That's about what Daytona H-D charges, too.

BTW, James Schulz, you purchased a 2014 H-D Softail Convertible???

The prices have gone up quite a bit since 2009, when this thread was started.

I had a "not so pleasant" experience with them when I was looking to buy my Breakout. I bought it in Pensacola instead.

Which location? Ive had great experiences with the Atlantic store (where I bought my FXSB) and the Baymeadows store where I got my service done and buy swag and what not. Sorry not trying to hijack the thread...but I have nothing but good things to say about Adamec!

The Orange Park location on Wells Rd.
I went in one day to see if they had a Breakout as I haven't even seen one in person yet. The guy tried to sell me on hype about how fast they sell "They sell before we even place them in the showroom". I asked if he would call me when one came in and he said I would have to put a $1000 deposit to hold it. A week later I went to Pensacola, my hometown, and just by chance walked in the Harley shop and there she sat my Red beauty haha. One week later I went back to Ademac and they had 4 sitting on the floor. 2 Blue, 1 Black and 1 Red

Default 1k mi Service BUT diffrent weights and oils on all three?

Well so its time for my babys 1000 service.
I really hate to pay for a service that i can do. However they told me that the 1000mi service its very important since they will check the whole bike and blah blah blah.
Now why some people are talking about different weights and oils, (red line) on the tranny and different on the primary and another on the crackcase.
Why not putting all same weight on all three?

LOL - I think the bigger question is if it took 5 years to get to the 1000 miles service, what does it matter what it cost? Not like it's costing you anything over the years. A thousand Miles? That's like rainy April Mileage!

Good threads never die! I need 1k mile service on my 2000 Heritage. Called the dealer, he went to check price. Came back on phone just to be sure he heard me right....1k on a 2000? Lol. He heard me right. I had to ask if I heard HIM right when he told me $380!!!

I called my local dealer and they wanted $300.00.
Thinking you got a $100. oil change,, I don't see how anyone could do a 20 point service.. no way can any one person do all that's required at the 1k service in 30 mins...

My first service at our dealer was $235 with syn 3 back in 07..

Now I change my own oils and adjust the clutch... the INDY I use usually charges $60 - up to $90 to do the rest..taking 60 min is normal but can be 90 mins if he need to adjust the spokes
