Cool Deluxe Drivers backrest

Help!!
Wife wants a back rest that will work with her OEM seat and rail, she does not want to replace this seat as she has broken it in very well and likes the look. We have seen a kidney shaped pad in the past on someone elses deluxe and she would like something like that.

Has anyone seen these or have any ideas? She puts some serious miles on this bike and needs the support as she is finally getting released from her back surgery. Hopefully Doc says she can ride again on May 8th!!

Thanks in advance!!

Pac

I've seen one on the Deluxe that mounts to the bar on the seat....that looks a lot better than the ones on the site that xxx provided. I think Georgia Girl on this site might have it. Something I might have to invest in as well....

Try Utopia Products in Akron, Ohio.

http://www.utpr.com/

I bought my 07 Heritage used last fall. The prior owner had installed it. Only down side is installation requires cutting into rear pillion for support post.

My wife likes the stock seat too but needs some back support.

I haven't seen any reviews of this one but it looks like it has potential:

http://www.kuryakyn.com/index.cfm/go...D/101/IMID/777

Tried my Firehouse Customs backrest on the wife's Deluxe and it doesn't offer enough support for her. Has more give to it than it does on my bike. Plus it's not adjustable.

She likes riding with a tourpak for various and sundry reasons and in it's current solo mode it doubles as a backrest. It gives full back support but I have to modify the mounting brackets so I can move it more forward so it fits her better.

I believe GAGIRL has the low Springer backrest. I think I read that it doesn't offer much back support but I could be wrong.

Be interested in knowing how whatever you get works for your wife.

This may work for you. I found this AFTER I fabricated one for my 05 Deluxe.

For a long while, people with a Deluxe used a Springer seat rail, and backrest pad that was available thru HD. Unfortunatly, those parts have been discontinued as of a coup years ago. If you can find them, they work GREAT..Wife loves her set-up. She rides alot of miles, and has always used the stock seat.

IF you can find them, the part numbers are

Seat Rail 52687-97

Tall Backrest Pad 52827-97

There was also a short pad, but it didn't offer much in comfort or support

Here is a picture of what these look like. I believe its teh sam set-up that GeaorgiaGirl uses..
