Don't tell the dealer you added a pcV or they will not warranty your bike. I have had a pcIII for 3 years and nary a problem. Seems to be hit or miss. Papadop is good for his word too though. Honesty is the best policy, however if you wnat this warrantied you oughtta say it just happened on it's own.
If I was working on the bike, I would look at the pipes, look at the free flowing air cleaner and think to myself "Hmmmmmmmmmm someone is fibbing here".
I have a good amount of integrity built in, I will tell them what was done and what happened. If I end up paying for it...well...it will be done the way I wanted it done in the first place, and then I can HOPEFULLY have a good talk with someone at FuelMoto and ask them why their product fried my ECM (if that is the case). But if it's some other problem like the Idle Air Control and is replaced under warranty I will still be happy that she's fixed. I just want her good to go, it's going to suck waiting over a week until I can get her in and back to my loving garage.

Unfortunately, Fuelmoto is a third party. It is not their product, they just buy them, tune them and resell them.
I have had power commanders, fuel paks etc. I now use a race tuner. The piggy back systems basically turn your Delphi back to the performance of a Morelli injection system. I have seen many fuel paks not run right, especially on the 200 tire softail/sportster pak. I have seen PC's lose maps, one fried a harness. People dismiss out of hand what my opinion is because I wrench at a dealership.
I would like to know where these fuel pak and PC's are made? I am sure some 3rd world country.

Ok, so now at least I know that I'm not the only one that has seen PCs fry ECMs on bikes. I just didn't want to sound crazy or sound like I worked for the dealer by telling people that I prefered the SEST over the PCs and fuelpaks.
Funny how you wrench at a dealer and my buddy wrenches at a dealer and you've both seen PCs screw up bikes. And when you guys tell people to get race/super tuners, they think its because you work for HD.

Pewter, I hope they make right with your bike brotha, whatever the problem might be (hell it might not even be the PC...it could be anything). Good luck!
Oh and like others have said, its definitely not Fuelmoto's fault. They don't build them, just sell them. The PC5 is new so all the quirks probably haven't been worked out yet.

I will update late next week on what the verdict is. And your right, it may not be the PC, it could be something else and it is just a coincidence. I'm not trying to bad mouth FuelMoto, Keith in the tech help dept. helped me out as much as he could. It just sucks that I waited a month before making the decision on which tuner to buy and all I heard were good things about PC so I decided to go with them. It's just my luck...5 million people can have the same setup as me with no problem, but the moment I do the same thing something will go wrong. Oh well, it will get fixed regardless of what is the culprit. Ride on brothers and sisters...for now I'll be strapped into my 3/4 ton, 12 MPG Chevy until I get her back. Thank god gas is still only $2.00 a gallon....DAMN just jinx myself...tomorrow it'll go up to $4.00.
Been using Power Commanders since 04 and never had a problem with them but need to keep an eye on them like anything else... My PCIII on my Electra keeps it tuned to a charm .. Could be the Pc V has problems yet, glad decided to stay with the tried and true PCIII that knew would work right...
