So what are your recommendations for a solo seat? I see a lot of guys are runnin the bare bones. How does it compare to the HD brawler? How is it on longer rides? With my stock seat, horizontally across my tailbone area just goes numb after an hour.
My other question is what do you guys do with the rear fenders? Do you remove the protective sticker or what? Also what about the stock mounting hole?
I know what you mean about the Brawler seat, I get a little sore after a couple of hours. I just got a Mustang Daytripper for two-up riding, thinking about sending the Brawler into Mean City Cycles for some mods.

oh no i dont have the Brawler. I'm curious about it too.
Had the BareBones w/gel, didn't like it after about 75 miles, sold it, got a C&C Solo with no gel and love it. Much more comfortable IMO. I removed the protective skin and use a HD chrome plastic screw for the rear pillion hole.
We're all shaped differently so there's no substitute for trial and error. Bare Bones works great for me, but I know I'm in the minority. That said, I've heard nothing but good things about C&C from a seemingly wide range of users.
Peeled off the protective sticker. I bought a roll of 3M 4 mil clear tape that I'm going to apply on the fender anytime I put the passenger seat back on.
Filled the holes with 1/4-20 bolts (and nylon washers) from the hardware store.

Does it move you back at all, or is it pretty much the same riding position?

As I mentioned in my earlier post, I have a Danny Gray Buttcrack for solo riding, and like it. I also have a Night Train Badlander, and it's sitting in a FEDEX box on my doorstep right now.....JUST got back from Mean City- I can't wait to get home and try it out!
