Default Service

I recently acquired my first Harley the other day. A 94 Softail Heritage Nos. Only 5 k miles, very nice, and yes I am proud. No books came with it so I would like some service info such as oil change time, transmission oil change time.

grats on the new ride, you should definitely pick up a service manual... everything you'll want to know and a whole lot more.

Assuming it's the same as the 08 intervals and the 1k change was done you're not due for a trans fluid change till 20k.

Primary is due at 10k.

Oil, every 5000

May be able to find a service manual (not owner's manual) on Ebay.

Congrats. If it was mine I would do fluid and filter changes on the whole bike. Cheap insurance. Check the tightness of the spokes. They should be ok but if any are loose you can lose a wheel. Go around the bike with wrenches and check all the bolts, nuts, screws and any other fasteners you see. It's an evo and shakes a little more that the twin cam balanced motor so things tend to loosen a little. Get the manual. Go to MyrtleBeachHarley and you can print out a service schedule for the bike. Good wrenching.
