Default crossbones gremlins

So the short of the story is I went out to ride my bike (2008 Crossbones) to work this morning and my rear tire was flat.

attempted to fill it with air expecting to find a hole, but ended up with air coming out from the bottom of the valve stem.

Anyone have this happen before?

It's funny because the bike sat all last week due to rain. It was fine when parked and had not been having a tire pressure issue before this. The only thing that has changed when it was parked was a new seat was put on.

Thanks
Eric

Well, to state the obvious, you've got a puncture..

The fact that the air is coming out of the bottom of the valve seat area is more down to the fact that the tyre bead is a tighter grip on the rim than the valve on the rim hole. Air takes the line of least resistance when it escapes.

I'm guessing that when you get down to examining it out of the bike, the tyre will show that it's been pierced.

I'd also guess that your front tyre ran over the pointed object & flicked it upright just in time for your back one to run over it, and I bet it was in the wet too.

Any use?
