Samson Fishtails or Longtails?
Oh great and wise forum.....
What is the difference between Samson Fishtails and Longtails? Looking at the pics on their site I can't tell a difference. I am looking at part numbers S-430 and S-432. Surely someone here knows the difference? Wanting to put some on my 09 Deluxe. Any opinions would also be welcome as well as feedback on Samson quality. Also considering Vance and Hines, but they are higher. Thanks, Keith

i just installed long tails on my ride (s2-433). fishtails come to a point up top but flatten out on the bottom. longtails are pointed on top and then come to a longer point on the bottom they have a cresent moon look. I called samson before i purchased my pipes and they told me they are getting ready to discontinue the fishtail version of their pipes. And are also comming out with 3 other size length in their longtail pipes (in about another 1.5 months) longtails look hands down better IMO. V&H may perform better but DAMM those fishtail ends are sure UGLY! not to mention they don't have a selection in different lengths....good luck
