Question 1999 fxstc transmission drain plug
I recently purchased a 1999 fxstc w/ 9600 miles. Someone told me to be careful changing the transmission fluid because the drain plug can get tightened too much and then has to be drilled out. Does anyone have any experience/sugestion regading this issue? Can a different type drain plug be installed to avoid thie situation? I am hesitant to touch it without knowing what i am doing!

Just tighten it to the correct torque spec and you will be golden.
Transmission drain plug torque 14-21 ft-lbs
Filler plug torque 25-75 in-Ibs
