Warranty. Warranty is hopefully still in effect on an 07. Hit up the dealer.

I've been having the same problem with my Heritage 08. I took it to the dealer but it never happens while my bike is there. They checked the battery, the connections and updated the software with no luck.

The service manager told me to ride and drop in once in a while and have a mechanic listen when I try to start the bike while it's hot. I do understand that it's a hard problem to fix if they can't hear it happening.

Also, they charged me a 1/2 hour of labour to investigate that problem. Isn't that wrong? Since it's an 08, my bike is still under warranty.

If the warranty doesn't cover this, what good is it? I am glad I didn't pay for the extended one...

OP, did anything come up on your problem?

Thanks

They should cover that I would think, sounds like the drive is not being pushed out, looks like a starter is in your future. I would get it repaired sooner han later as it can rip up the ring gear. It is a big job to change a starter too
