86 EVO breather help
I'm doing the final assembly of my 84-99 Softail using an 86 EVO motor I got used that was painted. After stripping the paint from the motor I noticed the breather fitting on the bottom of the motor next to the oil pump was broken off flush with the case and siliconed up. I don't know what kind of setup the person before had, but shouldn't this fitting be used and routed to the air filter, or should I just fill it back up with silicone and forget about it. By just feeling around with the tip of my finger, it feels as if what's left of the fitting is plastic and kind of below the surface of the case and I don't know if it can be pulled out with pliers or what. Any and all help is greatly appreciated as I hope to be on this thing by the end of next week if the DMV is fast enough getting my title worked up.
